Nashua Mobile, the independent telecommunications service provider in the Reunert Group, has renewed its highly successful sponsorship agreement with Cape Cobras for a further three years. This builds on the sponsorship relationship Nashua Mobile began with the Western Cape-based cricket team in the 2008 , 2009 season. Before this, the Cape Cobras were sponsored by Nashua Office Automation, Nashua Mobile's sister company.

The Cape Cobras - the reigning 1-Day Cup champions - is one of the country’s most successful and popular regional cricket teams. Nashua Mobile is supporting the team in line with their commitment to the development of regional sport throughout the country

In addition, Nashua Mobile sees sponsorship of sports teams such as the Cape Cobras as part of its contribution to local sport and the community, says Walter. The company is traditionally a staunch supporter of South African sport because of the invaluable role it has to play in nation- and community-building.
